Mainline Flatpacks Ltd renamed Lil Packaging Ltd
Founded by Roger Lill in 1983, Mainline Flatpacks Ltd has been a well regarded feature of the Huntingdon and Cambridgeshire manufacturing community. As of the 1st of April 2016 however, the company will be celebrating its rebrand and official name change to Lil Packaging Ltd, now operated by Roger's sons Barry Lill and Fred Lill.
As a family-owned and operated company, the new name takes inspiration from the family name 'Lill', as well as the best-selling packaging product range that bears the brand name of Lil. Launched in April 2014, the Lil-branded packaging range has gone from strength to strength meaning that as a brand; it has become far better known than our parent company name of Mainline Flatpacks. It also now accounts for the majority of the companies recently attained £7m turnover. So whilst it's not quite out with the old, it's certainly in with the new.
Barry Lill the Managing Director of Lil Packaging Ltd said, "It was always our intention to show how proud we were of our products by putting our name on them - so it makes perfect sense to show how proud we are of the success delivered by the hard-working team here, by putting our name to the organisation as well."
Barry added, "We have kept the change simple with the same company details, so that customers and suppliers simply need to change the company name."
Lil Packaging Ltd will continue to produce, increase and improve the stock Lil-branded range of postal packaging - whilst also being completely committed to producing the custom-packaging that Mainline Flatpacks were previously renowned for.
The new Lil rebrand exercise includes a whole new look for the company with a revamped brand image, and many new product and personnel introductions imminent for 2016.
Lil Packaging is also proud to announce that following the prior round of £1.2m million in investment from 2009 to 2012, another £1.2m round of investment is happening NOW. Due to the huge increase in demand for Lil products, the company needed to expand its production capacity, and as such has invested heavily in even more cutting edge high-tech production machinery and systems.
